TEXTURE
Original Crispy Texture
Bean confectionery are often imagined to have a bit of a firm crunch, but Sennarido’s style adds a light crispiness to this texture. This unique texture can only be delivered with Sennarido’s technology.
In order to give this “crisp,” we pay careful attention to raw materials selection, powder blending, and temperature and humidity control. Each product has a tailored recipe, using different roasting methods such as direct fire roasting or hot air roasting. We use Tetra Pak with high cushioning so as not to spoil the texture that we truly care about.

SKILLS
Skills of a Craftsman
Much of the manufacturing processes of our bean confectionery have been automated. However, we cannot solely rely on machines to make our products. Depending on where the beans originated, its conditions, weather and humidity of the day of roasting, we adjust how we coat them or when to take them out from the pot. The skill and intuition of an experienced craftsman is necessary to get this timing and adjustment just right. We are confident in our expertise we have developed over the past 70 years.
However, we do not overly rely on our past experience. We are constantly seeking for ways to innovate our technical capabilities so that we can remain a company where great products are born.

SAFETY
Quality Controlled Deliciousness
We believe that safety is a major premise for deliciousness. We maintain strict company rules for factory hygiene control, and we conduct rounds of quality inspections and sensory inspections on all products manufactured at the factory. The food safety team consisting of members from each department conducts regular checkups, and when issues are raised in the factory, we see it through until improvement reports are made.
Food Safety Management System Certified
In 2020, we acquired the certification of FSSC22000, a standard management system for practicing more reliable food safety management.

ENVIRONMENT
Kumamoto’s Water and Nature
We have been engaged in the production of bean confectionery for over 70 years in Kumamoto Prefecture, right at the center of Kyushu. The main factory is located in Mashiki-machi, a town rich in nature in the heart of Kumamoto, before the backdrop of Mount Aso which boasts one of the largest calderas in the world. Kumamoto is blessed with water; its natural spring water is enough to cover the prefecture’s everyday usage of domestic water. At the factory, we use this natural spring water from Mount Aso. Sennarido’s products take advantage of this environment. This is where delicious bean confectionery is born.
